By Christine H. | March 12, 2010 4:45 PM EST:I just wanted to take this opportunity to express what a great job and pleasure it has been dealing with Judy. For starters, Crowe became a customer of Zarin Fabrics because I am an avid
watcher of the "Housewives of New York City" (so I guess the show does generate some business for you). Judy came to our office with a wealth of knowledge regarding assisting us with sheers and verticals for our space. She advised what would work based on what we were trying to accomplish and sent us plenty of gorgeous patterns to choose from. She spent the time toexplain our options and why something would not work (if that were the case) and was pleasant in doing so. Our verticals have been delivered and we are quite please with them thus far. We look forward to continuing to do business with Judy as our business grows.

Crowe Horwath LLP By Lisa S. | June 02, 2009 2:23 PM EST:This note is long overdue, but nonetheless, I’m writing to let you know about the wonderful experience I had doing business with Zarin Fabrics. After having had horrible past experiences with both Beckenstein and Gracious Homes, I decided to try Zarin. My design consultant was Emre Kaya and from the beginning of the process right up to the end, he provided EXCELLENT customer service. I’m not in the fabric business nor do I know much about draperies, which is what I was seeking. Not only did he take the time to come to my apartment, (which is on the Upper East Side), to access the situation, but he also explained the differences to me among the different types of pleats, offered me a few different design options and pointed me in the right direction in terms of the type of fabric best suited for the style I was interested in. He was always available by phone and I got a sense that he truly cared about customer satisfaction and the finish product. Finally, I had about a three week deadline to have these drapes installed. At first I was very skeptical as to whether or not they’d be up in time for my sister’s engagement party, but Emre made it happen. The end result is so elegant, simple and beautiful that my apartment should be featured in a design magazine! Just like my business, I’m sure your business is extremely competitive, but one of the many things, which set Zarin apart, is the excellent customer service. As a person who never stays with one style for too long. I will be using Emre and Zarin again for a long time to come, along with recommending your service to friends & family. Thanks again.Sincerely Lisa Sanseverino

This is a fantastic fabric store that is mostly geared towards interior designers. Fabrics are mainy heavy and appropriate for upholstery and drapes. However period costumers will be in heaven here -- lots of gorgeous brocades begging to be made into frock coats or corsets. Many of these things can easily cost $30 a yard or more, but it's worth it. The service is also really good.
Alice M. | August 17, 2005 1:39 AM PST: Harry Zarin is a large fabric store located in the Lower East Side. It has a HUGE selection of fabric and supplies. It's a great place for those making upholsteries and designing clothing. My mom who's a seamstress frequents this place to buy fabric to make pillow cases, curtains, and even clothing. The price on the fabrics are inexpensive. They even sell ready made curtains and upholsteries as well. This place has many fabrics and texture.

Harry Zarin is a great place to go if you are looking for fabrics. They have everything you could possibly be looking for, whether its fabrics to make clothing or fabrics for furniture. This store is practically the only one left on the lower east side and has been in business for as long as I can remember. The store itself is huge and you can easily spend half the day there looking at fabrics.

They have 3 floors. Each very organized. Main floor georgous furniture and gifts and accessorie.s I bought my mothers and fathers day gifts even though I came for fabric! Awesome selection of designer fabrics at 5 and up a yard. Pillows, hardware trim . I am a designer and hate D and D. Too big,,to epensive and too rude. Zarin staff friendly, educated and generous. Offered free parking and helped cary my packages to car. WHo does that anymore?

Harry Zarin Fabric Warehouse has a extremely huge selection of different fabrics and supplies. You could buy fabrics to make curtains, re-upholsterie furniture, pillow cases, and clothing. The pricing are pretty reasonable and the even sell ready made curtains if you don't want to make them yourself. This store is practically the only one left in the lower east side.
Carin G. | Sent 5/30/06 at 11:40pm: As a person in the business, I know that all too often we do not get feedback, so since Judy was so helpful, I thought I would send her a picture of the outcome of our "joint venture." She was absolutely right about the amount of material required and the trim worked beautifully. I hope to be back soon.
"My initial interest in sewing came from a fascination with upholstering and subsequently, upholstery. Through my research I found out that the Lower East Side of Manhattan is the "upholstery district". The stores are fewer now and more spread out but thank goodness that Harry Zarin's is still around!
Downstairs is a very pretty storefront (the entrance at 318 Grand) with a HUGE selection of books to browse - they seem to specialize in Kravet. So, if you don't find what you want on the floor browse through the books, although I think there are certain purchasing minimums (like a bolt) when they special order. Further downstairs into the basement is BZI upholstery supplies - they sell all sorts of stuff for the serious upholsterer, from intense staple guns to tacking tape and, well, everything. Very helpful as well". "I heard about Harry Zarin from a friend. It was more amazing than I could have imagined. There was so much to choose from and the staff was very helpful. I will tell all my friends."
